Church breakfast

It was decided last year that we'd try making a Sunday morning meeting into a church breakfast. Our first experiment involved the crucial sausage, bacon, and much more. After everyone had eaten well, there was a gospel presentation.

The talk was "The History of the World in Ten Minutes" and was really history surrounding the Bible, seeing as there can be no more important perspective from which to view history. The ten minute talk took...a little longer, so that needs polishing if I'm not to be accused of false advertising!

There was a table with Christian literature which was free to take. The idea was that we use the event if possible as an evangelistic endeavour, so we each agreed to try to invite someone. Several people did come. But even if that hadn't been the case, we knew that it would still be good for the brethren to share a meal together as well as hearing about God's dealings with mankind.

The event was enjoyed so much that we decided to have three of them in 2025, the latest being this morning.

Several unbelievers attended, and one of the congregation, who's a local representative for The Gideons, gave a talk on their work distributing Bibles. He and his wife each gave a short word of testimony.

Another wonderful day spent with the Lord's people.
